Young Justice #21
This panel is funny to me for two reasons: One because this is the result of Cass assuming Bette, Lagoon Boy and Beast Boy were attacking an innocent kid that, as it turns out, was not an innocent kid at all but actually Klarion the Witchboy. And two because I wonder what Cassandra thought of Bette’s comment, given that as far as she knew, the only two people to ever wear the Batgirl cowl were Barbara Gordon and Helena Bertinelli*.
In other completely unrelated news, DC’s inability to make up their minds about whether Bette Kane’s Batgirl (or “Bat-Girl,” whatever) days were canon or not pre-reboot remains both hilarious and sad.
*Helena was The Bat, not Batgirl, but Barbara and Bruce called her Batgirl, so it’s safe to assume that if Cass ever thought about it, she probably thought of Helena as Batgirl, too.
